NEWARK, NJ – The NJIT swimming team hosted Manhattan Sunday afternoon, marking the Highlanders second meet of the weekend at Estelle and Zoom Fleisher Athletic Center.
Manhattan defeated NJIT 88-82 but saw many great swims from the Highlanders.
Junior
Shawn Bryan placed first in the 100 Freestyle (51.12) and second in the 200 Freestyle (1:51.47).
In addition, there were three 1-2 finishes recorded that night. Jon Van Ostenbridge and
JT Stefan finished first (1:03.29) and second (1:03.90) respectively in the 100 backstroke.
In the 500 Freestyle
Nick Estevez placed first (5:27.14) and
Victor Razuk placed second (5:59.30). Razuk also placed second in the 100 Butterfly (57.59).
Chris Early and Robert Kim also went 1-2 in the 100 Breaststroke with times of 1:09.22 and 1:13.66 respectively.
In addition, the 200 Freestyle Relay team consisting of Kim, Van Ostenbridge, Estevez and Bryan placed first with a time of 1:35.39.
The Highlanders next meet, the last for the 2011 season, will take place on December 3 Lehigh.
