BROOKLYN, NY --The NJIT Swim team competed at St. Francis (NY) Sunday afternoon.
Some highlights from the meet included junior
Shawn Bryan placing first in the 100 free with a time of 50.85 and 2
nd in the 200 free at 1:54.43.
Freshman
Nick Estevez took second in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:17.92. Estevez was only 11 seconds away from breaking the school record currently held by former swimmer Andrew Helbers, which was set in January of 2010.
In addition, in the 100 breaststroke senior
Chris Early placed 1
st with a time of 1:09.04 alongside newcomer Robert Kim who placed second with a time of 1:12.47.
The next meet for the Highlanders will take place next weekend on Saturday, November 19 at Ramapo College. On Sunday November 20, NJIT will host Manhattan College.
