SMITHFIELD, RI -- After a winter training period, NJIT swung back into competition swimming against Bryant and Saint Francis (NY).

Sophomore Marlon De La Rosa placed first in the 100 Breast and 200 IM.  In addition, he placed third in the 100 Free claiming a seasonal best.

Johannes Smit and Justin Arce recorded seasonal bests in the 100 breast and 100 free respectively.  In addition, Amy Cilento made her seasonal debut and placed second in the 500 free.

The 200 Free Relay consisted of Victor Razuk, De La Rosa, Jonathan Van Ostenbridge and Shawn Bryan.  They swam the team's fastest relay time of the season which included Van Ostenbridge and Bryan claiming seasonal bests in their relay split.

The Highlanders return to action Sunday January 23 where they will travel to compete against Fairfield.
