The NJIT women's basketball team returns home to the Estelle and Zoom Fleisher Athletic Center Monday evening to host Fairleigh Dickinson at 7pm after finishing third at the Hilton Garden Classic (the best finish for NJIT at a DI tournament) hosted by Virginia Tech last week.

Junior Jessica Gerald leads the Highlander offense with 14.3ppg while senior forward Taiwo Oyelola averages 8.9ppg and 6.5rpg. 

Taiwo is coming off her sixth double-double (14 points, 13 rebounds) in the Highlanders 69-66 win over Central Connecticut State on December 30.  She was named to the Hilton Garden Classic all-Tournament team.

Fairleigh Dickinson (4-7) is led by two double-figure scorers – Mariyah Laury (15.5ppg) and Alyssa Mayrose (13.3ppg).  Mayrose leads the Knights on the glass with 53 total rebounds (4.8rpg).

The Knights have lost their last two contests – Dec. 19 at St. Bonaventure (49-66) and Dec. 30 vs. Princeton (44-77).
