BRONX, NY – Freshman Ewelina Marut was the top finisher for the NJIT women's cross country team at the NJIT Classic on Van Cordtlandt Park course Sunday afternoon.  

Marut, who has been the top finisher for the Highlanders in the last three meets, finished Sunday's 5k race 11^th with a time of 26:55.

Other finishers for the Highlanders were: Cara Constantino (23^rd; 28:45.90); Kelsey Johnson (26^th; 29:12.10); Christina Roque (29:41.40); Daisy Gallegos (33^rd; 30:51.60); Kayla Howell (32:36.10) and Iulia Doci (39^th; 33:56.70).

NJIT will return to action on October 11 when they host the NJIT Invitational at Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ.
