NJIT returns home to the Estelle and Zoom Fleisher Athletic Center for a Wednesday evening game against Patriot League opponent Colgate.
The Highlanders are 2-1 at home with victories over Wagner (11/17; 68-56) and Maine (11/21; 63-50). NJIT has dropped its last three roads games to American, Rhode Island and Big East Marquette.
NJIT junior guard Jessica Gerald leads the team in both scoring (14.4ppg) and free throw percentage (38-43; 88 percent). Gerald has scored in double-figures in five out of seven games this season with three 20-point games.
Forward Ivana Seric is averaging 8.7ppg and 4.7rpg for the Highlanders while senior forward Taiwo Oyelola leads the team in rebounds 6.0rpg.
Colgate (5-3) suffered a 74-64 loss at Cornell Thursday evening led by Sami Kozlowski with 10 points and four assists.
The Raiders are led by Sami Kozlowski averaging 12.9ppg and a team-leading 23 assists. Freshman Jhazmine Lynch, who was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week is the second leading scorer on the team with 10.6ppg and is shooting 78 percent from the free throw line (35-45). Krista Moser has collected 53 rebounds and is pulling down 6.6rpg.
