NEWARK, NJ – The NJIT men's and women's swimming teams hosted its second tri-meet of the season facing Saint Peter's and St. Francis (NY) Saturday afternoon at the Estelle and Zoom Fleisher Athletic Center.
Sophomore Andrew Helbers set a personal-best in the men's 1000 free with a time of 11:13.03. The NJIT school-record in the 1000 free is held by Ryan Walton, which stands at 11:05.22.
Freshman Chris Early also set a personal-best in the 100 breast stroke at 1:11.66. Teammate Richard-Thomas Haft followed in behind with a 1:15.85 mark.
On the women's side, Sadie Mele placed second in the 100 backstroke at 1:06.12 while teammate Rachael Abadie finished second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 105.77.
