FAIRFIELD, CT – Sophomore Andrew Helbers won the men's 800 meter freestyle in 10:03.07 for NJIT in the men's swimming 104-81 loss at Fairfield.

Freshman Chris Early won the 100 meter breaststroke at 1:21.73 followed by Edwin Walker at 1:23.54.

Freshman Shawn Bryan and second-year swimmer Richard Montesano picked up a second-place finish for the Highlanders in the 100 meter freestyle and 200 meter IM.

NJIT returns to the pool on December 12 when they host Saint Francis (NY) and St. Peter's at 1pm in the Estelle and Zoom Fleisher Athletic Center.
