NEWARK, NJ – The NJIT women's basketball team (1-1) will host University at Albany (0-1) Thursday evening at 7pm in the Estelle and Zoom Fleisher Athletic Center.
NJIT is coming off a 68-56 victory over Wagner on Tuesday; a game in which junior guard Jessica Gerald scored 27 points and NJIT tied its school Division I record for steals in a game, with 18.
Albany lost its season opener on Friday evening, falling at Fordham 76-56. Melia Basavand scored a team-high 13 points on 4-of-9 shooting while Ebone Henry contributed 10 points and a team-leading eight rebounds for the Great Danes.
This will be the second meeting between both programs; with NJIT leading the series 1-0.
