WEST POINT, NY - Iulia Doci and Isha Toor won the top two singles spots and combined to win first doubles for NJIT, but it wasn't quite enough for the visiting Highlanders, who lost a tight 4-3 decision at Army Friday afternoon.

Doci and Toor combined for an 8-4 win in first doubles, but Army won the other two doubles contests to claim the point from that part of the match.

Doci won at top singles, 1-6, 6-1 (10-8) and Toor scored an impressive 6-0, 6-2 win in the second spot.

Fanny Aizier was another singles winner for the Highlanders, taking a 6-4, 6-4 decision at number four, but Army won the other three singles spots, which, combined with the doubles point, gave the Black Knights the hard-fought win.

The Highlanders will make a quick schedule turnaround, hosting Sacred Heart in a 7 pm match Saturday at the Tenafly Racquet Club.
