WEST POINT, NY - NJIT sophomore Katrina Hornstein notched her second double-double of the season posting 10 kills and 12 digs as Army claimed a 3-1 victory over the Highlanders Tuesday night in women's volleyball action.

The teams were even at 1-1 after two games, as Army took the first game, 30-15, and NJIT answered, 30-26, in the second game. The Black Knights secured the victory with 30-18 and 30-24 wins in the last two games.

Sophomore Kristy Haeckel posted her third straight double-figure game in the kills' category leading the Highlanders' offense with 12 and six total blocks. Setter Danielle Thompson piled up 26 assists.

On the defensive side, Brazilian native Sabrina Baby combined for a match-high 21 digs while sophomore Erica Schultz followed with 13.

For Army, Rachael Breinling led four Black Knights with double-figure totals with a match-high 18 kills. Malissa Gallini posted a season-high 48 assists and 10 digs.

The Highlanders will play in Queens, NY at St. John's University on Friday, August 31, taking on the hosts at 12:30pm and then Virginia Tech at 9am and Fairfield at 5pm on Saturday, September 1.
