2007 Patch Meet Results
TEANECK, NJ -
The NJIT women's indoor track and field team competed at the 2007 Patch Meet Sunday afternoon at the Rothman Center on the campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Starting the day off for the Highlanders was freshman Daisy Gallegos who set a new school-record in the 3,000 meter-run with a time of 13:16.3 picking up a fourth place finish.
Representing NJIT in the 300 meter-dash was Lesley Hendricks (10th) and Katherine Joseph (12th).
Sophomore Katrina Hornstein set a school-record with a jump of 1.37m, taking a third place finish ahead of three Fairleigh Dickinson jumpers.
Senior Denaya Hemmingway broke her old school record of 9.84 which she threw at the Seton Hall Open last Saturday. Hemmingway recorded a throw of 10.13m, finishing in second behind Fairleigh Dickinson's Taryn O'Conner who won with a throw of 13.51.
NJIT travels to New Haven, CT to compete in the Yale Invite, Saturday, Jan. 12 at 9:00am.
