CHARLOTTE, NC - Charlotte picked up two goals in the first half and three in the second leading past New Jersey Institute of Technology women's soccer team, 5-0 Sunday afternoon at Transamerica Field.

Five different players scored for Charlotte. Junior Ashley Rex and Jen Callahan scored goals for the 49ers in the first half. Lindsey Beam Ozimek scored on a penalty shot in the second half while Rachel Baer and Niki Labuda collected a goal in the closing moments.

NJIT goal keeper Angelica Sepulveda tied her career high in saves tallying 11 while 49ers goalkeeper Juli Black collected one save and recorded the shutout.

The Highlanders return action on Saturday, September 30th when they travel to Howard University for a 7:00pm start.
