Drexel evened its season record to 3-3-1, scoring once in each half for a 2-0 win over visiting New Jersey Institute of Technology in non-conference women's soccer Tuesday afternoon.
The Dragons broke a scoreless tie in the 41st minute, as Carly Snyder scored with an assist from Stacey Blevins. Drexel got its second-half score at 59:41, when Kimberly Kabernagel converted an assist from Aleka Yiantsos.
For NJIT, Angelica Sepulveda had a strong afternoon in goal, making 12 saves and allowing the two scores in 90 minutes. Kaitlin Bond and Erica Lippitt combined for the shutout for Drexel.
The Highlanders will travel to North Carolina for a 2 pm game on Sunday at UNC-Charlotte.
