ALBANY, NY - University of Albany picked up four goals in the first half, and two in the second leading past New Jersey Institute of Technology, 6-1, in a women's college soccer match Sunday afternoon in the Governors Cup Classic hosted by Albany.

Four different players scored for Albany. Sophomore Diana Barrera and senior Jaime Dougherty picked up two goals apiece.

The Highlanders tallied a goal in the 41st minute off a free kick by Cindy Bayiokos assisted by Dena Baskous.

NJIT's goalkeeper Angelica Sepulveda picked up eight saves while Albany used two. Ashley Neussle began the game and was later relieved by Maria Liguuori for the Great Danes. Neussle recorded the shut-out in the victory.

Named to the All-Tournament team were defenders Dena Baskous and Cindy Bayiokos and midfielder Briana Morales.

The Highlanders will return to action on Tuesday, September 19th when they travel to Drexel University for a 4:00pm start.
