WEST POINT, NY - The New Jersey Institute of Technology women's volleyball team came up short Saturday morning as it dropped a 3-0 (30-17, 30-23, 30-15) decision to Army in the final game of the Army Invitational.

Highlander Aggie Pregowska posted five kills along with 10 digs, but it wasn't enough to overcome the offensive strength of Army.

The Black Knights' Elizabeth Lazzari led her team with 11 kills while teammate Rachael Breinling recorded nine. Danielle Cooper recorded a match-high 11 digs.

Both teams recorded six blocks, with Jaime Clark and Lazzari notching four apiece while Highlander freshman Kristy Haeckel posted three.

For the Black Knights, Lauren Teal notched a game-high 20 assists while Highlander Danielle Thompson posted 15 of her own.

The Highlanders return to action on September 1 when they take on Manhattan at the American Invitational in Washington, DC. The match is scheduled for 5 pm.
