New Jersey Institute of Technology competed against host Fairleigh Dickinson, Long Island University, St. Francis (NY) and Saint Peter's in Sunday's women's Patch Track Meet held in FDU's Rothman Center.
The meet was scored as a series of head-to-head competitions, and the Highlanders fell short against all four foes, coming closest in a 26-16 loss to Saint Peter's.
NJIT had five entrants in the 55-meter dash and Joanna Powdhar was the top finisher, tying for seventh (8.2). Iulia Doci was 10th in the 600-meter run (2:03.5).
In the shot put, Donita Crudup was sixth (7.78 meters) and Dharshini Sivakumaran was seventh (6.76 m).
The Highlanders are off until January 19, when they compete in the UAlbany Great Dane Classic, hosted by Albany at 2 pm in the New York City Armory.
