NEWARK, NJ -
Visiting Temple, an NCAA Division I member of the Atlantic 10 Conference, swept the New Jersey Institute of Technology, 7-0, in a men's tennis match hosted by the Highlanders at Branch Brook Park on Wednesday.
The Owls (1-0) swept to victory in all six singles matches, as well at the doubles matches to claim the win. NJIT is 1-2, with both of its losses coming against Division I squads.

The second singles match was close, too, as Temple's Matt Struble edged NJIT's Steve Arlt, 6-3, 6-4.
The closest doubles match was third doubles, where Temple overcame the Highlanders, 8-5. Roger Wang and Damien Wentzel played third doubles for NJIT.
NJIT is slated to continue its fall slate at Phildelphia University on Thursday afternoon.
