Sadie Mele, from Rio Rancho, New Mexico led the Highlanders to 1-1 record last week with a 2-1 win over Delaware State and a 3-1 loss at unbeaten South Carolina State.

Mele faced 19 shots, 12 on-goal making nine saves on Sunday at South Carolina State.

Mele was named Great West Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
