Freshman Dominika Pawlowska led the NJIT women's fencing team, placing ninth in the women's epee event March 7 at the 2020 Mid-Atlantic/South Regional Fencing Championships hosted by Duke University.
 
Pawlowska, a freshman from Zielona Gora, Poland, entered the event as the  No. 15 seed and registered a ninth place finish for the Highlander women
