Joleta Budiman - last year's ASUN Freshman of the Year, All-ASUN First Team and All-Freshman honoree, and ASUN Doubles Pair of the Year member - helped NJIT open the 2020 season with a 7-0 home shutout of Sacred Heart on January 24. Budiman won in straight sets at No. 1 singles (6-4, 6-0), and teamed up with freshman Aya El Sayed to win at No. 1 doubles, 6-1.
