Freshman Stuti Vyas set a new NJIT school record this weekend at the Fastrack Last Chance meet in Staten Island, N.Y. The first-year distance runner ran the 1000 meter is a new Highlander-best time of 3:09.55.

This season, Vyas has also set a new record as part of the 4x800 meter relay team (9:49.63 at the Metropolitan Indoor Championships on January 31).
