Fiona Wright was selected as NJIT Female Athlete of the Week for her performance in a 1-1 weekend for the Highlanders.

The freshman scored three NJIT women’s soccer’s four goals in the last two games, with the lone goal in their 5-1 loss to Lipscomb on Friday, and added two goals in their 3-1 win over Liberty on Sunday.

Posting her sixth and seventh goal of the season against Liberty, Wright moved up to first on the NJIT all-time DI list in goals per season.

Wright leads her team with seven goals for 14 points, and ranks second in the ASUN for goals scored.
