Rene White was honored as NJIT Male Athlete of the Week for the second time this season for his performances in the Highlanders two games last week.

The redshirt sophomore scored four goals in two games, and was named ASUN Conference Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

White scored all three of the Highlanders goals in their 3-2 OT win over Saint Francis on Wednesday, and posted NJIT’s only goal in their first loss of the season to Drexel on Saturday.

The forward’s hat trick is the first in the NJIT Division I era.

White leads his 4-1 team with six goals on the season.
