Mitchko placed fifth in the women’s javelin throw with a distance of 38.57 in the Highlanders first outdoor meet of the season.

The sophomore earned four points for the Highlanders, with six good throws.

Mitchko helped the Highlanders grab 11th placed at the Maryland Invitational.
