Basketball's Zach Cooks earns NJIT Athlete of the Week for her performance through February 26.

The freshman helped the Highlanders defeat USC Upstate 76-67 on Thursday securing the 4th seed in the ASUN Conference playoffs starting tonight.

Cooks scored 11 points in the win, adding four assists and two rebounds.

On Sunday, Cooks was named to the ASUN All-Freshman team by unanimous decision, finishing the regular season as the ASUN's fifth-leading freshman scorer at 8.5 points per game.

Cooks currently ranks fourth on the team with 246 points and first in assists (62) and steals (47).
