New Jersey Institute of Technology Athletics

NJIT track and field athlete John Porteous from Wood-Ridge, NJ has been selected as Male Athlete of the Week for his performance at the IC4A Championships.

The junior earned a third-place finish in the men’s 400-meter hurdles with a time of 51.67, a new school-record at NJIT.

Porteous was also a member of the NJIT 4x100 team. The team which consisted of Porteous, Jason Chippy, Adam Morgan and Emmanuel Agyen earned a seventh-place finish with a new school-record time of 41.58.
