NJIT baseball player Ed Charlton, from Egg Harbor Township, NJ has been selected as Male Athlete of the Week for his performance in Saturday and Sunday’s seven inning double-header contest versus University at Albany.
 
The junior batted .357 in the four-game series with five hits, three runs, three runs batted in and a slugging percentage of .571. The center fielder also tallied 17 putouts in four games.
In the second game on Saturday, Charlton lifted the first pitch of the bottom of the seventh inning over the left wall winning the game for NJIT on a dramatic 5-4 walk-off victory.

NJIT split the four-game weekend series with UAlbany.
