Sadie Mele was selected Great West Conference Defensive Player of the Week posting two Great West Conference East Division wins and seven saves last week.

Friday, Mele recorded three saves in the Highlanders 5-2 victory over Delaware State and stopped four in Sunday’s 2-0 shutout against Howard.

Mele registered her third shutout of the season on Sunday and eighth for her career. She now has 13 career wins ranking her first all-time in most goalkeeper wins at NJIT.
