NJIT women's fencer Julia Aronov, from Forest Hills, NY has been selected as NJIT Female Athlete of the Week for her performance during the 2014 NIWFA Championships.
 
The junior placed 2^nd on the A strip finishing 13-3, qualifying for the individual event. Aronov made it to the 8s and then lost to Noelle Baptiste of Temple. Overall the NJIT epee squad placed 7^th, recording 26 victories.
 
As a team women’s fencing finished 7^th out of 17 schools that were entered in the competition.
 
The NCAA Regional Championships are coming up this weekend on March 8^th.
