Nina Mayevska was a double-winner vs. NCAA Division II Queens (NY) this past weekend with wins at second singles, 6-1, 6-1 over Anna Rodinova and first doubles, 8-5 vs. Erika Goldsmith & Francesca Fanchin with teammate Jana Luste.
Queens, which came into Saturday's match undefeated and with a 17-match win streak, suffered its first loss of the season to the Highlanders, dropping to 17-1 on the season and 8-1 at home. The Highlanders bounced back into the win column after the team's 14-match win streak came to a halt at Stony Brook last week. NJIT is now 19-3 overall on the season.
