DJ Roche, who was the first NJCBA Division I Pitcher of the Week of the 2012 season opened the season with a 2-0 record in two starts.  He fanned 19 batters in only 12 innings while walking four, allowing three earned runs and seven hits for a 2.25 ERA.
 
In a 15-2 win at North Carolina Central, he struck out nine batters, walking three and allowing just one run and two hits in 5 innings of work. 
 
In a complete-game five-hitter at Delaware State on March 4, Roche struck out a season-high 10 batters and walked one in a 4-2 road victory.
