Brian Araujo joined the NJIT Department of Athletics as the Facility and Events Operations Assistant in August 2021 and was promoted to Athletic Facilities and Operations Manager in January 2024.
As the Facility and Events Operations Assistant at NJIT, Araujo was responsible for setup, execution and breakdown of all 19 varsity team athletic events, management of over 60 student-workers while serving as the primary contact for visiting teams.
Araujo comes to NJIT from the New York Red Bulls, where he served as a Youth Development Coach, delivering youth soccer coaching and program administration for camps, clubs and clinics.
Prior to working at the New York Red Bulls, Araujo worked at Sky Blue FC (NJ/NJ Gotham FC), as the Operations Coordinator (May 2018-May2020) & Account Executive (January 2019-May 2020).
He assisted in all aspects of game day operations including, stadium set-up/breakdown, field boards, sponsorship activation while managing interns and volunteers throughout the season.
In addition, as the Team Equipment Manager, Araujo oversaw product embellishment, inventory management and monitoring stock movement and forecasting/tracking.
Araujo worked one season with the Metropolitan Riveters (September 2019 - March 2020) as the front of the house game day manager, leading the marketing activation, sponsorship deliverables and player-fan interaction.
He served as the New York Giants game day ticket representative (August 2018-December 2019), assisting in daily operations at MetLife Stadium Ticket Office.
Araujo graduated from William Paterson University with a sports management degree.
