Biography
2005-06: Posted a 16-4 record at No. 3 singles and 13-4 at No. 2 doubles with Eva Salierno.
Fall 2005: Deepti had a very successful fall 2005 season where she won the ITA regional B singles title .. CACC conference player of the week ..also a member of NJIT[apos]s fencing team ... ITA Academic All-American.
Fall 2004: Split time between second and third singles and went 3-1... had a 4-1 record at No. 2 doubles with three different partners.
2003-04: Team MVP... posted a 5-9 record in singles and was 4-10 in doubles... earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors... also team MVP and all-league in fencing.
2002-03: Team MVP... won first six singles matches of career... finished 13-9 overall, including 10-1 in singles... won Dean of Students Freshman Leadership Award.
Prior to NJIT: Attended ELC International School in Malaysia... won Malaysian state tennis tournament... represented ELC in South East Asian Math competition.
Personal: Deepti Sanjai ... only child of Sundaram and Pushpalatha Sanjai... majoring in biology... student in NJIT[apos]s Albert Dorman Honors College... member of Student-Athlete Advisory Committee...earned membership in Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society... two-time regional qualifier and two-time academic all-conference for NJIT[apos]s fencing team.
