Emma Vinski, who was a member of the NJIT women’s soccer team from 2005 to 2008, makes the transition to coaching following her 2009 graduation.
A graduate of Bridgewater-Raritan High School in Bridgewater, NJ, Vinski played in three college seasons, missing the 2006 season due to a knee injury. As a freshman in 2005, she scored the season’s first goal for a team that made postseason play in its final year at the Division II level.
After her redshirt year, she returned in 2007 (NJIT’s first year as an active member of Division I) and made all-conference third team, while finishing as her team’s second-leading scorer (7 points, 3 goals, 1 assist). She started every game in 2008 and again was second on the team in scoring (7 points, 2 goals, 3 assists).
As an undergraduate, she was enrolled in NJIT’s Albert Dorman Honors College, majoring in architecture, and later added graduate studies in physical therapy.
