Zoë Steck joined the NJIT Athletics staff in July 2023 as the Leadership Programming Coordinator and Academic Advisor for Student-Athletes, working in the Norma J. Clayton '81 Learning Center.

Prior to her arrival at NJIT, Steck was a postgraduate intern for the Landmark Conference, assisting in social media content, website management and served as liaison between the conference office and each of the eight institutions' athletics departments.

Steck completed her Master of Science degree in Exercise Science and Sport Administration with a concentration in Sports Business at Montclair State and competed on the RedHawks women's soccer team. She also served as the graduate intern for the Student Development for Athletes Department, which focuses on the entire experience of the student-athlete both on and off the field.

As the department's intern, Steck was responsible for planning various initiatives, including National Student-Athlete Day, Alcohol and Drug Programming, Sexual Violence Awareness Programming, and Diversity and Inclusion Programming. Additionally, she pioneered and developed strategies to promote student-athlete wellness, including mental health initiatives, stress management, and post-graduation readiness.

She was responsible for the reintegration of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at Montclair post-COVID-19, serving as the advisor. In that role, she increased the committee's active members from 12 to 47 student-athletes.

Steck also was part of the Red Hawks Game Operations and Sports Information Staff. She assisted the Director of Game Day Operations in monitoring game day staff, as well as the setup and breakdown of all 18 sports home events.

Steck received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychological Sciences with concentration in Education from the University of Connecticut, where she was a member of the Huskies women's soccer team.

She interned with the New Jersey Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (NJAIAW) and was the Event Administration and Operations Intern with US Club Soccer and the New York Red Bulls.
