NJIT men’s swimming and diving head coach Ron Farina named Dora Fyfe to his staff as the Highlanders’ new Diving coach during the 2019-20 campaign. Fyfe brings overs 30 years of coaching, teaching and training experience in diving and gymnastics to NJIT.

In 2021, Fyfe was chosen to once again serve as a FINA judge at the USA Junior National Championships in Indiana.

In her first season in 2019-20, Fyfe was named CCSA Men's Diving Coach of the Year at the CCSA Championships on February 22. Fyfe helped Cole Becker reach the finals of both the 1 Meter (7th, 213.65) and 3 Meter (6th, 260.85) events at CCSAs and helped Max Hafen join Becker in the 3 Meter finals (8th, 104.85).

In diving, Fyfe spent the prior four years as both Owner/Head Coach of the Pike Dive Academy @ SPACE 201 in Washington Township and Head Coach at the Stonybrook Swim Club in Hillsdale. Fyfe has been heavily involved in both programs, developing training programs, implementing practice and competition plans, and engaging in player development, while also handling management, marketing and fundraising duties for Pike. At Stonybrook, Fyfe produced at least one Bergen County individual diving champion from 2015 to 2018 and won the Bergen County team diving title from 2017-18.

Fyfe (née Dora Quevedo) was named a FINA judge for the United States and will serve as a judge at the 2019 USA Senior National Championships in Indiana and was appointed Head Diving Coach by the Ecuadorian National Federation in October 2018 as the country competed in the 2018 Copa Pacifico tournament. She is also a certified USA Diving and AAU Diving coach.

Her background in gymnastics includes a three year stint as Head Coach at Perpetual Motion in River Vale and 12 years as Owner & Director of Operations at Dora’s Gymnastics, an Olympic gymnastics facility in Hillsdale. Fyfe’s level of leadership, instruction, management, planning, and organizing in these positions mirrored, if not, exceeded, her efforts on the diving front. Fyfe created a pair of proprietary curriculums during this time - Gymnastics Foundations” and “Twisting Foundations - and won New Jersey State and Regional titles for Beam and Floor routines.

Fyfe holds certifications from both USA Gymnastics and the United States Association of Independent Gymnastics Clubs.

Fyfe competed collegiately as a diver at the University at Albany and graduated in 1996.
