Community Service
Community Service plays an important role in many NJIT students’ lives. Most student-athletes are inclined to involve themselves in the local community. This aspect of the Student Athlete Affairs program seeks to connect individual student-athletes and/or entire teams with various organizations in the surrounding community.
Through recognition awards, teams are acknowledged for their contributions to the community. The Community Service Award is presented to the team that illustrates the highest commitment and dedication to community services.
Student-athletes and teams are given the option to provide press releases to the Department of Athletics, the NCAA News, the campus newspaper and/or local publications.
