2020-21: Competed in all four of NJIT's meets...finished third in the 200 Free Relay (1:34.60) against La Salle on Mar. 6.

2019-20: Competed in nine meets for the Highlanders...picked up three third-place finishes against Providence on Oct. 25 - 200 Medley Relay (1:52.57); 100 Breast (1:08.97); 200 Free Relay (1:45.47).

Prior to NJIT: Swam for coach Thomas Gervasio at Roxbury and coach Alan Ledgin at the Morris County Swim Club...2014-15 Rookie of the Year as a freshman...Top-10 finish (7th place) at Meet of Champions as a senior...Competed for the Ecuadorian National Team at XXVII Campeonato Sudamericano Juvenil Natación 2019 in Chile and at Copa Pacífico Julio Maglione Natación 2019 in Peru...broke Ecuador's 4x100 Mixed Medley Relay National Record...also competed in soccer.

Personal: Ricardo Jose Vasconcellos...son of Jose Vasconcellos and Gladys Murillo...intends to major in General or Mechanical Engineering...uncle Andrés Vasconcellos competed at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta for Ecuador's National Swim Team.
