NEWARK, NJ – Senior Alejandra Zuniga and sophomore Olivia Kulyk have been named to the 2026 America East Conference All-Conference Teams, the league office announced Wednesday.
Zuniga collected her fourth career All-Conference honor, including her second First Team selection, while Kulyk earned Second Team recognition for the second time. Both were also named to the America East All-Academic Team.
Alejandra Zuniga | First Team | All-Academic Team
A four-time All-Conference selection and two-time First Team honoree, Zuniga closes her career as one of the most decorated players in program history. She is NJIT's all-time leading scorer with 1,688 career points.
This season, Zuniga surpassed 300 career assists and now ranks second all-time in the Division I era with 327. She also set a new program single-game record with 39 points at UMBC on January 1.
Zuniga ranks among the conference leaders, sitting second in scoring (17.8 ppg), fifth in assists (4.0 apg), top eight in minutes (33.3 mpg), and top nine in free-throw percentage.

A 2026 All-Academic Team pick, Zuniga is a two-time CSC All-District selection, seven-time Dean's List honoree, and will graduate in May with a degree in Communications and Media.
Olivia Kulyk | Second Team | All-Academic Team
A two-time All-Conference honoree, Kulyk leads the league in three-pointers made (70) and three-pointers per game (2.5).
The 6-foot forward ranks top seven in scoring (15.0 ppg), second in blocks (1.2 bpg), and third in minutes played (34.5 mpg). She posted 21 double-figure scoring games, including seven 20-point performances, highlighted by a career-high 30 points against Lafayette (Nov. 30) with six three-pointers.

An All-Academic Team selection, Kulyk is a three-time Dean's List honoree majoring in biology.
America East Quarterfinals
The NJIT Highlanders women's basketball return to the postseason for the sixth straight year as the No. 5 seed in the America East Tournament. NJIT (18-11, 9-7 AE) will travel to face No. 4 UMBC Retrievers women's basketball (15-13, 10-6 AE) on Thursday, March 5.
Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. at Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena. The game will stream on ESPN+.
The all-time series is tied 6-6, with the teams splitting the regular-season meetings. NJIT earned an 80-75 win on January 1 behind Zuniga's 39-point performance, while UMBC claimed a 52-51 victory on January 22.
NJIT has reached the America East quarterfinals in each of the past six seasons and advanced to the semifinals in 2021-22.
