BOSTON - Sam Deemer was named the America East Swimmer of the Week, while Borys Endle earned the America East Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday. Both earned their first career AE weekly awards.
 
Deemer posted a 200-yard backstroke time of 1:48.68 to finish second against Marist, the fastest time in the America East by two seconds. He recorded a 100-yard backstroke time of 50.83, which ranks fourth in the conference. Deemer finished just 0.01 seconds behind his teammate, Aidan Blackmon, to place second. The senior also posted a 200-yard individual medley time of 1:55.83, ranking sixth in the America East.
 
Endle broke the school record in the 200-yard breaststroke, recording a time of 2:00.67 to win the event. His time is the fastest in the America East. He posted a 200-yard individual medley time of 1:54.63, which ranks third in the conference.
 
NEXT UP
After a week off, NJIT will travel to Boston to compete in the BU Terrier Invitational on Nov. 22-24.
