Swimming Improves To 4-0 With Dual Win Over Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. --- The NJIT men's swimming and diving team continued its exceptional start to the 2019-20 season on Friday evening, defeating the Providence College Friars 156.5-134.5 to remain undefeated (4-0) in dual meets on the year.

"The team swam very well tonight after a tough week of training. I am looking forward to see how we race tomorrow against a very talented UMass team on back to back road meets," Highlander head coach Ron Farina said after the dual.

NJIT claimed ten event wins across the meet's 16 total races to earn the 22-point victory. Joshua Franco, Tyler Pollock, Mattheau Bonner and freshman Matthew Bevan each added two wins to their ledgers, with Franco and Bevan winning two individual races and Pollock joining Bonner on the winning 200 Medley Relay squad in addition to their own solo triumphs.
