NEWARK, NJ-Epiphany Smith has joined the New Jersey Institute of Technology women's basketball staff as an assistant coach, head coach
Steve Lanpher announced.
Smith, who represented two colleges on the basketball court, earned her degree from Saint Anselm College (New Hampshire) receiving her BS in Natural Science in May 2012.
A one-year starter and captain at Division I Texas-Pan American, Smith was named Independent Newcomer of the Year and all-Independent All Star in 2008-09, leading the Broncos with 4.3 assists per game and ranking second with 10 points per game.
She completed her playing eligibility at Division II Saint Anselm College in 2012, playing three seasons for the Hawks. A Northeast-10 second team all-conference selection, Smith led the Hawks with 14.3ppg and 3.4apg while ranking second in the league in three-pointers made per game in 2009-10.
Smith worked as an instructor at clinics conducted by Kate Connolly Basketball Clinic and Saint Anselm's Women's Basketball Clinic.
