The NJIT women's tennis team won four singles matches and two of the three doubles matches, raising its season match record to 7-2 with a 5-2 women's tennis win over visiting Morgan State Wednesday afternoon at Tenafly Racquet Club.
Junior Iulia Doci dominated first singles for NJIT, taking a 6-3, 6-1 decision over Morgan State's Walaa Elsir, recording her eighth win of the season.
Isha Toor was a 6-3, 6-4 winner for the Highlanders at second singles, while Fanny Aizier won in the fourth spot 6-1, 6-2 and Chiori Koike took fifth singles, 6-3, 6-7, 10-7.
Doci and partner Fatima Kasem were winners at first doubles taking a 8-2 victory as Aizier and Koike topped Viktoriya Lukyanenko and Pola Olczak, 8-1.
Morgan State prevailed at third doubles as Alexis McCoy and Sydney Collines defeated Didem Cakiroglu and Bogdan, 8-1.
The Highlanders will return to action on Saturday when they host Binghamton at 7pm at Tenafly Racquet Club.
