JERSEY CITY, NJ - The New Jersey Institute of Technology men's tennis team picked up its seventh win of the season posting a 4-3 win, over host St. Peter's.

NJIT claimed the singles contest winning four out of six matches. Freshman Steve Erickson started out the match defeating Cprime Realista (7-5, 6-1) at the No. 1 spot. Transfer Jonathan Lang picked up a win for NJIT at No. 2 singles topping Conrad Nowogrodski (6-2, 6-3). Cosmin Chiujdea followed behind picking up a point against Nestor Gramatica at No. 3 singles.

The closest match of the night came at No. 5 singles, where Tim Weiman went three sets defeating Andrew Maple (6-7 (5), 7-6 (4), 6-3).

The Highlanders picked up one win in the doubles contest. Steve Arlt and Weiman knocked off Maple and Nowogrodski (8-5) at the No. 3 spot.

The Highlanders return to action when they host Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday, March 3 at the Tenafly Racquet Club. The match is scheduled to begin at 7pm.
