BRONX, NY - The New Jersey Institute of Technology women's volleyball team came up short Saturday morning as it dropped a 3-0 (30-18, 34-32,30-18) decision to Maine University in the third match of the Rose Hill Classic at Fordham University.

Freshman Kasha Hornstein led the way for the Highlanders posting nine kills and eight digs. Aggie Pregowska and Kristy Hackel each notched eight kills apiece.

Maine was led by Laura Goettsch tallying up nine kills while teammates Lindsay Allman and Brittany Kiehl added eight. Shelly Seipp posted a game-high 34 assists. Jody Connacher added 17 digs while Allman dug-up 16.

For the Highlanders, sophomore Danielle Thompson notched 27 assists and five digs. Sabrina Baby led the team with 14 digs and one service ace. Rebecca Wilkinson posted four blocks.

The Highlanders return to action this afternoon when they take on Tulsa University at 2:00pm.
