JERSEY CITY, NJ - New Jersey Institute of Technology freshman Craig Binkiewicz wins the NJCBA Division II/III Rookie Player of the Week award for the second time this season.

Binkiewicz was named NJCBA Rookie of the Week on April 20th when the freshman outfielder from Belleville, NJ, hit.692 9-for-13 with five runs scored and two RBI. Binkiewicz's quick speed led him to stealing fives bases on seven attempts and a .750 on-base percentage.

Binkiewicz went 3-for-4 with a run against St. Thomas Aquinas. He collected two hits, one run and two RBI against East Stroudsburg and Wayne State in Florida.

This week, Binkiewicz hit .455 (5-for-11) with three runs, two steals and a triple, while NJIT went 2-1 in the three games he played in. In a 5-4 win over CW Post on March 28, he was 3-for-4 with two runs and a triple.

On March 29th, Binkiewicz added a 2-for-4 effort in a 9-6 loss to Caldwell and scored once in a 7-4 victory against Dominican on March 31st. He owned a .467 on-base and .636 slugging percentage for the week.
