QUEENS, NY - The New Jersey Institute of Technology women's tennis team topped No. 4 Queens 5-4 Wednesday afternoon in Queens, NY. The Highlanders improve to 18-5 on the season.

NJIT picked up one point in the doubles contest. Iulia Doci and Fatima Kasem topped Dominika Bayuk and Karen Chang at No. 1 doubles. Queens picked up the doubles points with two wins.

Freshman Iulia Doci picked up her 19th win of the season topping Dominika Bayul 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. Senior Fatima Kasem topped a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Karen Chang. Deepti Sanjai and Eva Salierno also recorded wins for the Highlanders.

Queens picked up No. 4 and No. 5 singles contests just falling short, 5-4.

The Highlanders return to action on April 15th when they travel to Kutztown, for their final match of the season.
