PHILADELPHIA, PA - The New Jersey Institute of Technology women's tennis team picked up their second straight win Sunday afternoon, with a 5-4 decision over Philadelphia University.

NJIT picked up one point in the doubles contest. Iulia Doci and Fatima Kasem topped Maddie Smith and Amanda Frantz 8-1 at No. 1 doubles. Philadelphia picked up the doubles point, with two wins.

Iulia Doci recorded her 18th win of the season defeating Maddie Smith 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles. Fatima Kasem picked up her eighth win of the season topping Amanda Frantz, 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 singles. Deepti Sanjai and Eva Salierno both earned points for the Highlanders at No. 4 and No. 5 singles.

The women's tennis team returns to action Wednesday, April 12th when they travel to Queens, NY.
