CALDWELL, NJ -
The New Jersey Institute of Technology women's tennis team remained unbeaten in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference competition with a 7-2 win at Caldwell on Wednesday.
NJIT, 4-0 in CACC play and 5-2 overall, won all the matches that were contested on Wednesday. Caldwell won the sixth singles and third doubles by default.
Iulia Doci won for NJIT at first singles, defeating Calwell's Oksana Manoukian, 6-2, 6-1. She also teamed with Denise Solorzano for an 8-2 win over Manoukian and Erin O'Neill in first doubles. Solorzano was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at fourth singles.
Eva Salierno took second singles, 6-0, 6-0, and then combined with Deepti Sanjai to win second doubles, 8-1. Sanjai won her third singles match, 6-4, 6-0.
Completing the sweep of the contested matches, NJIT's Mayeana Kamara topped Caldwell 's Patty Messick at fifth singles, 6-0, 6-1.
NJIT is at Philadelphia University in another CACC match on Saturday at noon.
